A Crafty Welcome

Welcome to the website for the Crafty Owl, home of paper card and craft creations for every occasion. My name is Joanne James and I’m an independent demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!, based in Northampton, Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom. I am an avid crafter with a passion for all things Stampin' Up! and I love to make cards, wedding stationery, scrapbook pages and home décor – pretty much anything out of paper!

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I host in-home parties, run cardmaking and papercraft classes in and around Northampton and manage an active and growing team of demonstrators who also share a passion for papercraft. I am happy to travel in the surrounding area including Warwick, Coventry, Warwickshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Bedford, Bedfordshire and Leicester, Leicestershire. Details on my current class schedule can be found here or for more information about hosting a party, click here. If you’re interested in joining my growing team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators get in touch or click here to find out more.

Hot Glue Embossed Sunset

It's Sunday and time for this week's new challenge over at The Paper Players! It's the turn of the super-sweet and talented Nance to host this week and she has a fun colour challenge for us to work with:

I absolutely love Nance's colour combination this week - so unusual! I considered a variety of things to do with my card - mostly floral - but decided to be brave and try something different: hot glue embossing.

Everyday Hero

Happy Monday everyone! Today I'm sharing another card using this week's CAS(E) This Sketch, along with the colours over at Can You Case It:

This was the first idea I had when I saw this sketch - I just had to break open my Everyday Hero set and get colouring!

Envelope Punch Board Lidded Box

Happy Monday everyone! I've had a busy day today with the first of this month's classes. I'll share some of those projects later in the week, but for today I wanted to share a simple little lidded box that I made with my Envelope Punch Board to hold some cute little Valentine's love notes.
